President Aliyev and his Iranian counterpart Muhammad Khatami regretted the failed visit of the Azeri head of state to Iran in a phone conversation, as the two admitted that the key documents to be signed had not been duly prepared, the presidential press service said Tuesday.
The presidents agreed that both parties would jointly work over complete drafting of the documents and forward them to the heads of state. Only after all these procedures a date for President Aliyev's visit to Iran will be defined, the statement said.
