 | OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs arrives |
Baku is awaiting new proposals on a peaceable settlement of the Garabagh conflict from the coming visit of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, foreign minister Vilayat Guliyev told journalists Tuesday. The co-chairs are expected to arrive in Baku Wednesday after visiting Yerevan and Khankandi.
Asked about the possibility of a meeting between Azeri and Armenian presidents in Geneva, Switzerland, Min. Guliyev said it depended on the outcomes of the co-chairs' visit to Yerevan and the position of the Armenia.
In response to a question whether the two presidents are expected to meet during an informal CIS summit in Sochi, Russia, V. Guliyev said it was up to the presidents to decide.
"We have not yet received a proposal for such a meeting", he added.
Front-line monitoring due Wednesday
Front line monitoring of the line of control is due in Horadiz settlement of Fizuli province Wednesday. The monitoring is a part of the mandate of the OSCE chairman's special envoy.
On the Azeri side, the monitoring will be carried out by the envoy's field assistants, while in Armenia it will be executed by the OSCE chairman's representative Andzei Kaspsic and his field assistants, MOD told AssA-Irada Tuesday.
