Q. I cannot register.  What to do?

A. To register on our site, it is necessary that your internet browser supports cookies and JavaScript.  Check if cookies and JavaScript are being accepted by your browser.
As well, you have to use an email address that is working and you have access to, because registration process begins with a link being sent to the email address you have provided.

To check if your browser accepts JavaScript

If your browser supports cookies, JavaScript is working, you have provided a working email and still can not register, then write to support@bakupages.com with detailed description of your registration process.

Q. Would I be able to change my info after registration?

A. Yes.  Click on Options on the top after you have signed in to our site, with your registered name and password.
Changing of registered email address will ask you to confirm the new email address (Your registration will be inactive until the new email address will be confirmed).

Q. I forgot my password.  What to do?

A.
If you have forgotten your password, then click on the “Forgot?” link beside the User and Password fields.

Q. I am trying to change my info, but I get a message saying that my email is being used by someone else.  What to do?

A.  Probably you have two registrations with BakuPages.  Request for a forgotten password and you will receive a list of all your registrations with BakuPages.  Each registration has to have a unique email address.

Q. I have changed my email address, but did not provide a correct one.  My registration became inactive and I cannot confirm the new email.  What to do?

A. Try to log in with your nickname.  If you have changed your email and did not confirm it, then a special form will show up asking you once again for a new correct email address, your username and password.  After that, another request for confirmation would be sent to the newly provided address.

Q. What should I do, to prevent misuse of my registration?

A.
Carefully read our recommendations below:

  1. Your username and password should be different from your nickname.
  2. For a password choose a meaningless collection of letters and be sure to include numbers in your password.
  3. Make sure to Sign Off after you have finished visiting our site, especially if you are using a computer in a public place.
  4. Don’t lend your username and password to anyone.

Q. How long is the probation period? Based on what criteria do you choose people?

A.  New users will receive the “member” status after few days of registration.  The period might take long, if during that period the new user has violated our rules.  There are no criteria to choosing new users.  In case of a very serious violation of our rules, the user might be declared “persona non gratta” with the registration becoming deleted.  BakuPages is a project that is evolving continuously.  Access to some of the new features on our site might depend on the length of your presence on BakuPages.

Q. I have mistakenly registered twice.  How can I delete one of the registrations?

A.  Send a request to remove@bakupages.com.  Request should come from an email address that was used during registration.  In the request you have to provide the nickname and the username of the registration that you want to be deleted.

Q.  Is the nickname unique on BakuPages? Can more than one user have the same nickname?

A.
Nickname and registered email address are unique for each registration.

Q.  How to get my old nicknames back, if someone has changed the passwords?

A. If you can log in under your username, then try to request your password by pressing on the link “Forgot?” beside the username and password fields.  If this was unsuccessful, then unfortunately there is nothing we can do to help, except in cases where we can personally identify you (we know you as a real and not a virtual personality).
As result of this, it is in your best interests to do all that you can to prevent others from stealing your nickname.  That is why, we recommend users to choose username and password different from nickname.  As well, we recommend you to choose a meaningless collection of letters and numbers for your password.  Don’t forget to Sign Off after you have done visiting our site, especially if you are using a public computer.

Q. Where can I read about my rights and responsibilities?

A.  At the bottom of almost each page there are links to Terms of Service and Privacy Policy of our site.
