SOCAR ANNOUNCES CHEMICALS TENDER

The SOCAR Offshore Oil and Gas Production Unit has announced a tender for procurement of chemicals in four lots, the purchase of 100 tons of KMS, 400 tons of FXLS, 1000 tons of liquid FXLS and 450 tons of caustic soda, according to a SOCAR source.

Participation fee is AZM400,000 plus 18% VAT. The closing date for bidder data is April 29. Bids are welcome before May 8 this year.

The security bid for the first lot is AZM6 million, the second is AZM20 million, the third is AZM11 million, and the fourth is AZM14 million.

CSC BUYS NEW VESSEL

The cargo fleet of the Caspian Shipping Company has signed an agreement with the "Krasnoe Sormovo" plant in Novgorod, Russia for purchase of a new vessel.

The vessel meets international standards for the capacity of its engine, technical provision, and is reasonable for its price, the CSC reported Tuesday. The ship may be used for navigation both in the Sea and the river. It will be delivered to Baku in May and employ 20 seamen.
