MP calls to break off talks with Armenia
MPs started Tuesday's session of parliament on the occupation day of Kalbajar, another Armenia captured Azeri province, by standing in silence tribute to those who were killed in the occupation.
Opposition minded parliamentarian Igbal Agazadeh proposed to include in the agenda the issue of breaking off talks with Armenia and refusing the services of the OSCE Minsk Group. His proposal comes ahead of the scheduled discussion of the Garabagh conflict at the Armenian parliament on April 4.
Speaker Alasgarov said stopping negotiations with Armenia would have been assessed as Azerbaijan's unwillingness to resolve the dispute in a peaceable manner. "If the occupied lands are not recovered in a negotiated manner, the Azerbaijan army will free them", he said.
