Azeri scientist awarded with golden medal

 

ACTIPOL, a new medicine in ophthalmology by Azeri and Russian scientists, was awarded with Grand golden medal, a special prize of the Belgian Ministry of Finance. The awarding ceremony was held at the 51st international invention exhibition "Brussels evrica-2002".

The medicine was jointly invented by Azerbaijani and Russian scientists Sevinj Akbarova, Doctor of Medicine, and Olga Stroyeva, Doctor of Biology.

The world’s leading scientists highly appreciated ACTIPOL that has proved to be one of the key anti-virus vaccines over the last three years.

Sevinj Akbarova is a sister of the world-known Azeri ophthalmologist, Professor Pasha Galbinur, who is a full member of the American Ophthalmology Academy and leads the eye decease department at the Azeri Medical University.*
