Parliament starts fall session

The Azerbaijan parliament, Milli Majlis, started its fall session Monday with a tough work schedule and a variety of drafts to be passed.

Addressing the session, Speaker Murtuz Alasgarov said the parliament would reconsider two constitution laws and pass bills on municipalities, education, registration of legal entities, and Baku's status.

MPs speaking to the gathering elaborated on the Qarabag conflict, Nardaran events and the 24 August constitutional referendum.

The Milli Majlis is expected to table draft laws "On state language", "On tea growing" and "On regulated prices".*
