President downplays military school disorder

President Aliyev downplayed all worries around the recent cadet protest at High Military School in a news briefing Friday. He opposed exaggerating the issue, saying that everything was all right.

The President’s chief-of-staff Ramiz Mehdiyev, on his part, has blamed the leadership of the school for the protests, dismissing rumors about punishment of the protesters. Nor the walkout will be assessed as a desertion, as the problem is related to the curriculum, household issues and leisure time.*
