Azerbaijan to fight for Garabagh till very end

On the initiative of the National Resistance Movement, a forum “Current status in the Armenian-Azerbaijan conflict” was held at the PNIA head-quarters Thursday, attended by representatives of all leading political parties and public organizations (around 200 people) except pro-government forces. Quite a few proposals on conflict settlement were voiced - “only a military way”, “no need for war, we only need to ask UN to enforce 4 of its SC resolutions”, “it is necessary to launch public protest actions in order to demonstrate our strength to international organizations”, “it is necessary to raise the national resistance coefficient”, “it is necessary to announce overall call-up”.

All the speakers agreed on one thing - a defeatist peace is unacceptable.

The resolution of the forum contains 15 principles for the problem solution. First of all, since the conflict started with Armenia’s territorial claims for Azerbaijan and a subsequent aggression, it is necessary to do away with its consequences on the basis of 4 UN SC resolutions; it is necessary to demand the UN recognition of Armenia as aggressor state and raise the issue of compensation for the material and moral damage inflicted to Azerbaijan by the aggressor; as a result of Russia’s having provided $1 billion worth of weaponry to Armenia, it is necessary to consider it as a party to the conflict and to prevent its further involvement in international peace-keeping forces.*
