Public council for ecology being set up

The work is underway at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources for establishment of a public council, which will start operating earlier next year. The idea of the establishment came from the NGO Forum.

The council is expected to take an active part in preparation of state programs for ecological policy and ecological reserves, proposals and projects implemented by international humanitarian and ecological organizations active in Azerbaijan and to join strategic ecological programs and study into the actual ecological situation in the regions, a source from the Forum told AssA-Irada Saturday.*
