US funds hospital

Humanitarian CHF International and International Mercy Corps (IMS) has constructed a hospital complex in the village of Babi in Fuzuli province, most of which is currently under occupation. The complex include surgery departments, four wards, a laboratory, a department of infectious diseases, a bathroom, a wash-house, and a room for safe medical waste management.

Over 1000 villagers and residents from nearby communities can make use of the complex, which is the only hospital to operate just 25 km off the front line.

Attending the opening ceremony of the complex were US ambassador Ross Wilson and Azeri officials.*
