WB health reform mission due in Baku

WB specialists are expected to visit Azerbaijan on August 27 in connection with the start of health reforms in the country, the WB Baku office told AssA-Irada Saturday.

During the ten-day visit, the Bank experts are expected to meet with the Azerbaijan government’s reform project group and other government officials.

Following the July 25 loan covenant, the WB provided Azerbaijan with $5 million under the health system reform. Around 10% of the amount, or $500,000, has been allotted by the Azerbaijan government.

The project will take three years, with pilot programs to be realized in 5 provinces.*
