EU body holds meeting in Baku

The European Union’s (EU) subcommittee held its meeting in Baku on Thursday.

The current situation in the energy, transport and environmental sector in Azerbaijan and EU member countries were discussed during the meeting held at the Ministry of Transport.

Views on regional cooperation in the transport sector, including issues related to aviation and sea transport were exchanged as well.

Azerbaijan joined the European New Neighborhood Policy (ENNP) in July 2004. The program envisions cooperation on the basis of commitments such as democracy and legal state as well as respect for human rights.*
