Iranian youths seek closer ties with Azeri counterparts

Iranian youths intend to establish friendly relations with their Azerbaijani counterparts, an Iranian top official said.

Iran’s Vice-President and head of the National Youth Organization Mohammad Javad Ali Akbari visiting Baku said he would make efforts to strengthen bilateral relations in the fields of science, research, sport and culture.

“Our relations are on a high level and we have great potential to develop these relations,” he said.

The Iranian official met with Azerbaijani Minister of Youth and Sport Azad Rahimov on Tuesday to discuss issues on cooperation in the area of youth policy. He will also attend the opening of an international conference, “Youths for alliance of civilizations”, and meet with members of several youth organizations during the visit.*
