Quake hits central region

A quake measuring three points on Richter scale hit Azerbaijan’s central Shamakhy district early Tuesday morning.

Tremors of 2.5 points jolted some settlements of the district, according to the seismology center of the National Academy of Sciences.

Tremors were also observed in the villages bordering on the Guba district.

No human casualties or devastation are reported.*
