3 Azerbaijanis wounded on Azeri-Georgian border

At noon on Wednesday, Georgian police opened fire at three Azerbaijanis in the neutral zone between the Sadykhli village of Azerbaijan’s Aghstafa district and Georgia’s Vakhtani residential area. The reasons for the accident are not disclosed yet.

The three, who are Georgian citizens, were engaged in commerce in the Aghstafa district, and were on their back to Georgia. They passed Azerbaijan’s borderline checkpoint, but were unable to pass the Georgian checkpoint. The police opened fire, severely wounding two of them. The two were rushed to the Gardebani district central hospital, while the other person, who received light injuries, was taken to the Aghstafa regional hospital.*
