Renowned German psychiatrist to visit Baku

A teaching course on Interpersonal Psychotherapy of Depression is scheduled to be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel on February 16 on the initiative of the Azerbaijan Psychiatrics Association (APA) and with support from the Association of European Psychiatrists.

Professor Nadir Ismayilov, APA president, who is a famous scientist in Azerbaijan and abroad, told AssA-Irada that the course would be run by Professor Torsten Gruettert, renowned German psychiatrist and psychotherapist.

Ismayilov stressed that the aim of the course was to raise the level of medical and psychological assistance rendered to refugees and internally displaced persons with different forms of depression and neurotic disturbances.

During his stay, Professor Gruettert will visit several mental hospitals and hold meetings with Azerbaijani specialists.*
