 | Rally scheduled, musavat stays aside |
The Union of pro-Azerbaijan forces has scheduled to hold a rally, "No Azerbaijan without Garabagh" on March 17, deputy chairman of the "Vahdat" party, a member of the organizing committee for the rally Tofiq Jafarli told Azernews Saturday.
He, however, denied to name the parties, which will take part, saying that the organizing committee had decided to lure more parties to the rally. According to him, the committee has already asked Mayor's office for sanction and is now awaiting the go-ahead from the city authorities.
Musavat reluctant
Commenting on participation in the rally Musavat Chairman Isa Gambar told a news briefing following the meeting of the pro-Musavat DemCongress Monday that the DemCongress would not take part in the "No Azerbaijan without Garabagh" rally, due on March 17.
However, Mr. Gambar said that the conduct of protest actions in case of a potential threat of loss of Garabagh are still on the agenda. The Musavat leader said that he favors joint protest actions with the rest of the opposition.
