More British companies keen on energy co-op with Azerbaijan

Once again the Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce sent a mission to Azerbaijan.

The British delegation led by Reith Still from the Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce arrived in Baku on Monday on a working visit.

The mission of eleven companies, mainly involved in the energy sector, is going to study the opportunities of establishing cooperation in oil and gas field.

Reith Still is a regular visitor to Baku and this year he led a group of companies, most of which are new to Azerbaijan. As in previous years, the Aberdeen mission focused on the energy sector, drawing on its wide experience from North Sea oil and gas production.

The Mission included: HVAC & Refrigeration Engineering Ltd., (a comprehensive range of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration services to the Onshore and Offshore and Marine industries), Norson Services Ltd. (experienced personnel to mobilize Onshore and Offshore work), Bucham Technical Services Ltd. (flexible solutions to oil an gas businesses through the provision of rental equipment and personnel), SGS United Kingdom Ltd. (Consultancy, Project Management, Training etc. to the oil, gas, petrochemical and chemical sectors), STATS International Ltd. (provider of a comprehensive range of services to the oil, gas and petrochemical industries), TransTel Europe Ltd. (major Telecommunication Systems Integrator), ECCO Finishing Supplies Ltd. (corrosion control industry supplying shotblasting and spraypainting equipment), Sonsub Ltd. (the underwater industry services), Scientific and Technical Gases Ltd (STG) (specialist in high precision gas mixture and high purity gases for analyzers and gas detection applications), Sparrow Training Center (individual training courses, undertaking these at suitably equipped chent locations either on or offshore), Energy and Power Consultants Ltd. (independent advice on field development planning.

The mission has visited BP Business Center, where they got familiarized with the progress of the Azari-Ciraq-Gunasli fields development. The British companies are offering equipment and services for the oil and gas industry. For this purposes, they are planning to meet head representatives of British companies operating in Azerbaijan, officials of the Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Azarenerji joint-stock company.

The visit will last till January 31.
