Azadlig demanding registration
The Azadlig party picketed the Ministry of Justice last week, as 40 people came to demand registration. The resolution of the picketers reads that Azadlig was set up in 1995 and since than has repeatedly applied to the Ministry for registration, with the latest on April 10, again in front of the ministry. But, the party hasn't yet got a response.

Nationalist party pushes for public trial of ex-minister
About a hundred members of the Azerbaijan National Democratic Party, Boz Gurd (Grey Wulf), picketed the Supreme Court Monday, urging an open public trial of their imprisoned leader, the ex-interior minister Isgandar Hamidov, with media present. The trial of the Bozgurd leader scheduled for Wednesday in the Gobustan closed penitentiary comes after the plea of the Azeri Prosecutor General with regards to the CE commitments to reconsider the cases of those listed as political prisoners.

Free Azerbaijan urges to wage guerrilla war
The Free Azerbaijan Party has issued a statement addressing Russians to start protest actions on July 1, demanding withdrawal of Russian troops from the Azerbaijani lands occupied by Armenia. The party is going to stop functioning starting August 1 and appeals to other political parties to mull waging guerilla war for liberation of the occupied Azeri lands, the document reads.

Young PFPA reformers call to revive democratic founder's rights
The youth organization of the PFPA reform wing picketed Baku's Mayoral Office Monday with mottoes urging to revive the rights of Mammad Amin Rasulzadeh, one of the founders of the first democratic republic in 1918, to erect his monument outside Baku State University, return his name to the university etc. Some 50 protesters spoke of the life and political activities of M. Rasulzadeh, pointing out that when signing the Independence Act in 1991, the Azerbaijan Republic was announced the successor of the first Azerbaijan Democratic Republic. Despite the Presidential decree in 1993, a monument to Rasulzadeh has not been erected yet. The protesters forwarded to the Mayoral Office a resolution calling to implement the Presidential decree.
