FERROSTAL TO SUPPLY EQUIPMENT
German Ferrostal has won a tender for major equipment supplies for the Bahar Gas Pipeline, a source from SOCAR's foreign economic relations department reported Monday.
Also supplying the construction of the pipeline was Ferrostal after winning a relative tender.
Under the tender terms, the company is to provide pipes, pistons, steel bars, bolts, and other equipment totaling some $350,000.
BAKU PHARMACEUTICAL ENTERPRISE PUT ON SALE
The Department for State Property Privatization under the Ministry of Economic Development has announced an investment tender for privatization of Baku Chemical Pharmaceutical Industry joint stock company, the Ministry said Thursday.
Both local and foreign investors may take part in the tendering. Preference will be given to companies offering maximum investments and making a commitment of their rational use, as well as having a leading experience in production of medicinal preparations.
Bidders are requested to forward an investment program showing guides of investing in restoration and organization of production of medicines meeting international standards, increasing denominations of medical products, using local primary goods, and making proposals for social protection of domestic staff.
Bidders are to provide proposals for transference of funds to the state budget (no less than AZM1 billion) and state privatization vouchers (at least 50,000).
Foreign investors have to provide as many privatization options as vouchers. Bids are accepted before April 26, 2002, with the evaluation starting on May 1, 2002.
