Iraq reaffirms support for Azeri cause

"Iraq recognizes the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and Iraqi representative in the UN has informed an Armenian envoy to the Organization of this intransigent position", Iraqi Foreign Minister said receiving an Azeri delegation led by the head of the Caucasus clerical office Sheik Pashazadeh in Baghdad.

The visit by the clerical delegation lasted from February 12 till 16. The group traveled to Iraq to deliver a humanitarian consignment of 14 tons of flour and medical supplies from Azerbaijan. The Azeri delegation also met with health, education and oil ministers, as well as Iraqi clergymen, focusing on prospects of bilateral cooperation, according to the press spokesman for the Caucasus clerical office Haji Akif.
