AOIC hopes for soonest Caspian status resolution
Foreign minister Vilayat Guliyev received AOIC President David Woodward Saturday. Mr. Woodward updated the Azeri minister on the work in the oil sector of Azerbaijan, underscoring the need for security and stability in the region for a better performance of the consortium. D. Woodward voiced hope for a soonest resolution of the status of the Caspian.
Highly appreciating the operations of the AIOC, Vilayat Guliyev said the company is serving the development of Azerbaijan's economy and its integration into Europe and the international community. Stressing the necessity of defining the status of the Caspian, the Azeri minister said that the issue would be in focus in the summit of the littoral states in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.
Min. Guliyev informed the AOIC President of the Garabagh conflict, the negotiations for its resolution and the activities of the OSCE Minsk Group, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement Saturday.
