9th Khojali carnage anniversary

The atrocities unleashed by Armenian thugs and their Russian accomplices on February 26, 1992 in Azerbaijan‘s Khojali province represented an attempt to intimidate the people of Azerbaijan and take over yet another part of independent Azerbaijan.

In 1905-07 and 1914-20, Russians and Armenian Dashnaks trying to take advantage of the regional situation, perpetrated unprecedented massacres in various parts of Azerbaijan - Baku, Shamakhi, Guba, Lower and Upper Karabakh. As if in continuation of its policy of aggression launched at the dawn of the century, imperial Russia complied with Armenian barbarians and obliterated the 7,000-people Khojali province from the surface of earth.

The brutal holocaust was perpetrated by Armenian troops and Russia’s 366 infantry regiment based in Khankandi, capital city of Upper Karabakh. Over 30 tanks and Armored Personnel Carriers were involved in the unequal battle with defenseless and unarmed population.

Even children, women and elderly were given no quarter by the blinded bigots. As a result of the brutalities, 613 people were slain, 487 crippled and 1,275 taken into captivity. 106 of the victims were women, 63 under-age children. 6 families have been entirely exterminated, 25 children lost both parents, while 130 lost one. 56 people had been tortured before being killed: burnt, beheaded, scalped. Children’s eyes were hollowed out and pregnant women shot pointblank.
