SOCAR PLANS TO PUMP 2.5 MLN OF OIL VIA BAKU-NOVOROSSIYSK
SOCAR plans to transport 2.5 million tons of crude through the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline.
7.8 million 5 tons of oil has been pumped via the conduit since 1997, while last year the figure was 2.5 million tons of crude, the company said Friday.
GAS PROCESSING PLANT FULFILLS PLAN
The Azerbaijan Gas Processing Plant processed 2575000000 cubic meters of gas in 2001, over-fulfilling the plan by 15000000 cubic meters, a SOCAR source said Friday.
The plant also fulfilled the gas processing plan for December 2001by 101.6%.
The processing of technical butane and gas gasoline failed to reach plan targets last year. 14672 tons (99.1% of the plan) of technical butane was processed against the plan of 14800 tons and 17160 tons (90.3%) instead of the planned 19000 tons.
SOCAR ACTIVE OIL STOCK DOWN
The number of SOCAR's operating wells constituted 6882, including 1328 offshore and 5554 onshore as of January 1, 2002, the company said Friday. This is 14 wells below last year. Offshore wells decreased by 43, while onshore ones surged by 29.
495 new wells, 110 off and 385 onshore, accrued to SOCAR's well stock last year, while 509 wells, involving 153 offshore and 356 onshore, were put out of it.
2001 OIL OUTPUT PLAN FULFILLED UNLIKE GAS
9012000 tons of oil were produced in January-December last year against the plan of 8900000 tons. The plan was fulfilled 101.3%, while the figure is 3400 tons below 2000.
The 2001 offshore and onshore plans were over-fulfilled, with 7415900 tons of oil (100.1%) produced offshore and 1596100 tons (107.1%) onshore, according to a SOCAR source.
Gas production in this period failed to reach projected targets, as 5546500000 cubic meters of gas, 95.2% of the plan, were extracted. 4406100000 cubic meters were produced offshore (95.6%) and 241500000 cubic meters onshore (105%).
The AIOC produced 898900000 cubic meters of gas in 2001.
2001 DRILLING PLAN UNDER-FULFILLED
The drilling plan for 2001 was fulfilled by 61.1%, as 99367 meters were bored instead of the planned 162624 meters. The under-fulfillment was evident in both off and onshore, with 69167 meters (88.2%) offshore and 30200 meters onshore.
Both exploratory and operational drilling came short of the plan. The footage of 9745 meters (61.3%) was reached in exploratory drilling against the projection of 15900 meters, with the plan fulfilled 88.6% offshore and 26.6% onshore.
89622 meters were bored instead of the planned 146724 meters in operational drilling. The plan was fulfilled neither offshore (88.2%) nor onshore (36.7%).
EXPORT OF OIL, OIL PRODUCTS MAKES UP $531.4 MLN
SOCAR's department for external economic relations exported $531421270 worth of oil and oil products in 2001 in the bumper performance in the decade.
Besides crude, 849618 tons of various oil products totaling over $165million were exported.
Among the exports were 422824 tons of diesel fuel totaling $87,700,000), automobile gasoline - 184782 tons ($38,066,000), aviation kerosene - 203220 tons, ($35,880,000), oil coke - 23402 tons ($1,802,000), furnace fuel - 11637 tons ($1,610,000), and technical butane - 3784 tons ($546,000).
WELL COMMISSIONING PLAN UNDER-FULFILLED
479 wells instead of the planned 542 were commissioned in 2001, according to SOCAR. Thus, the yearly plan was under-fulfilled. Of the commissioned wells, 66 are new and 413 are from the current oil stock. 369 of them are onshore and 110 offshore.
The well construction plan was also failed last year, with 68 wells built (32 offshore and 36 onshore) against the projection of 99. Operational wells amounted to 64, while exploratory ones numbered 4.
OFFSHORE OIL PLAN SHORTAGE READS 18,000 TONS IN DECEMBER
Offshore oil production represented 2,9%, or 17991 tons, below the plan in December. A total production volume of 611409 tons was reached largely thanks to 28 May oil and gas producing unit, which extracted 491124 tons of crude last year.
Neft Dashlari oil and gas production unit extracted 64583 tons (95.5% of the plan), Narimanov - 24600 tons (100%), Gum Adasi - 13424 tons (100.2%), Absheronneft - 12950 tons (100.4%), and Bulla Daniz - 4728 tons (60.6%).
Neft Dashlari showed production slides up to 100 tons a day in December of 2001. The monthly shortage of the plan reported 3,000 tons. However, the additional oil reserves of 10225 tons helped cover the backlog.
2001 OFFSHORE OIL OUTPUT 86915 TONS BELOW 2000
The 2001 oil production volume made up 1.2%, or 86915 tons, below 2000, while the plan was fulfilled, with 5856 tons of crude extracted in excess, a SOCAR source said Monday.
7,415,856 tons of oil was produced offshore last year. 80% of the production occurred on 28 May oil and gas producing unit, which extracted 5,931,570 tons of crude. Neft Dashlari produced 802518 tons, Narimanov - 293210 tons, Gum Adasi - 161120 tons, Absheronneft - 155410 tons, and Bulla Daniz - 72028 tons.
