Pakistan vows to retaliate to India's nuclear attack
Pakistani ambassador to Azerbaijan Faiz Muhammad Khoso held a press conference Thursday to comment on the building-up tension between India and Pakistan.
The ambassador said his country favors solution to all outstanding problems with India in a negotiated manner. "In case the opposite party resorts to nuclear weapons, Pakistan will take adequate steps and the responsibility will rest on India", the diplomat said.
Touching upon the current situation, Mr. Khoso said India accuses Pakistan of the terror in the Indian parliament on December 13, 2001.
India has recalled its ambassador from Islamabad, reduced the number of Pakistani diplomats in India and banned all Pakistani flights in India's airspace.
The diplomat said Pakistan has done the same, with the exception that it hasn't recalled its ambassador from India in a bid to boost future talks. The bone of contention, as the ambassador says, is the Kashmir problem. "75,000 people have been killed in Kashmir and over 800,000 Indian troopers involved in the trouble region throughout the existence of the dispute", he said.
Mr. Faiz Khoso said the Azeri President has voiced his regret to the leaders and people of Pakistan over the growing tension and the menace of war.
