Azerbaijan, Pakistan to mull military co-op

The possibilities of military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan will be in focus during the visit by Pakistani defense minister to Baku earlier this year, Pakistan's ambassador Faiz Muhammad Khoso told journalists Thursday.

According to him, there are huge prospects for such cooperation. The negotiations initiated by Azeri defense minister Safar Abiyev in his trip to Pakistan in May last year will be continued in Baku, the diplomat said.

An exact date for the visit is still to be fixed, but it is believed to take place as soon as the recent tension between India and Pakistan is defused.
