SOCAR TO BUY SALYAN OIL CRUDE
SOCAR plans to purchase the oil produced by Salyan Oil operating company from the Kursanghi and Garabagli fields in November and pump it into the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline.
A SOCAR source said Monday that it would pay AZM264,000 per ton of crude and market it at international prices.
Salyan Oil, which has produced 200,000 tons of oil in 9 months of 2001, was until recently exporting its oil via Caspian TransCo.
AZPETROL TO OPEN 33rd SERVICE STATION
Azpetrol is expected to open its 33rd service station in Astara shortly. The station will employ 35 people.
The company opened the first petrol filling station on July 15, 1997. Currently the company owns a total of 11 stations in Baku and 32 on the countryside.
In addition, Azpetrol runs a terminal, an oil base and a fleet of trucks, which employ over 3,000 people.
PIPE SUPPLIES FOR NEFT DASHLARI-BAHAR PIPELINE COMPLETING
German Ferrostal Piping Supply GmbH is scheduled to deliver the last portion of pipes for construction of the Neft Dashlari-Bahar pipeline shortly. Two portions have already arrived, while the third one has been loaded onto flat wagons at the Georgian port of Poti and is expected to arrive in Baku this week.
Ferrostal Piping Supply GmbH is winner of SOCAR-announced tender for the supply of pipes 508mm in diameter.
