Oil well No. 1351 in the north-eastern part of Palchig Pilpilasi (Mud Vault) flowed with oil during trials on October 9. Daily flow-rate is 70 tons. The drilling started 6 months ago and was carried out off "Khazar-5" jack up. The trials were conducted in 1,203-1,265 meters of water.
According to SOCAR, this is the highest flow-rate ever obtained on this field. In general, specialists say that the north-eastern wing of the field has high oil-content.
Palchig Pilpilasi was discovered in 1954 but has not been fully studied yet.
