CIS PRESIDENTIAL MEETING VENUE SHIFTED
Russian President Putin suggested in a telephone conversation with Azeri President Aliyev that the meeting of CIS Presidents scheduled for September 26 be shifted from Ashgabat to Moscow viewing the situation after the recent US terror attacks. Accepting the proposal, the Azeri President agreed that it would be reasonable to meet in Moscow.
As reported earlier, the two presidents turned on ways of a negotiated solution to the Garabagh conflict. Stressing the necessity of keeping on with the Aliyev-Kocharian dialogue, President Putin said that Russia would accept any agreement that could be reached between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Russia is genuinely interested in peace and order in the Caucasus, as this is the key precondition for the Caucasus Four to operate effectively, the Russian leader said.

According to him, the World Health Organization has undertaken to provide 80 IDPs with medicinal preparations.
