US SUPPORTS AZERBAIJAN's TERRITORIAL INTEGRITY
The US State Department spokesman Richard Boucher said in a news briefing in Washington on August 30 that USA supports Azerbaijan's territorial integrity.
"We don't recognize Upper Garabagh as an independent state. The future status of the region is a talking point within the OSCE Minsk Group. We don't believe that the elections to be held in the self-proclaimed region could reverse the peace process. We have the mandate to broker solution to the Garabagh conflict together with other Minsk Group co-chairs, Russia and France, and will keep working toward this goal with all the parties involved", he said.
RELIGIOUS EXTREMISTS EXPOSED

The notice says that as a result of operative search by the Ministry, a branch office of a religious extremist organization "Hizbut-Tahrir" has been exposed in Baku. The organization is blamed for anti-Azerbaijan activities.
A. Abdulrahimov is believed to be one of the organization's activists. The Ministry is asking people knowing about the wanted man's whereabouts to call on 95 04 87 and 95 04 91. Anonymity of all callers is guaranteed.
CLASHES IN IRAN UNDERWAY
Clashes in Iran's Sabzavar city between the population and the law-enforcement have been ongoing for six days. Some 1,000 people have been arrested, hundreds wounded and 7 killed, including 2 children. Another child is in critical condition, the Union for Integral Azerbaijan said in a statement Monday.
The clashes follow public discontent as people demand that Sabzavar be granted the status of a center, which, in turn, would allow opening of new jobs and improving social welfare of the population.
The statement also says that over 3 million Turks residents of the province are not involved in the clashes.
