Lebanon to open embassy

A group of Azeri journalists visiting Lebanon was received by the country's Prime Minister Rafig Al-Hariri last week. During the half-hour meeting the parties emphasized the importance of stepping up comprehensive Azeri-Lebanese relations. The premier pledged that Lebanon would soon open its embassy in Baku and establish air communication between Beirut and Baku.

Attending the meeting was Azerbaijan's ambassador to Egypt, Syria and Lebanon Israfil Vakilov.
