 | Azeri journalists meet with Lebanese president |
A group of Azeri journalists, including the director of "AssA-Irada" news agency and "Azernews" English-language weekly Fazil Abbasov, editor-in-chief of "Ayna-Zerkalo" newspapers Elchin Shikhlinski, chief editor of "Sahar" program on Azerbaijan TV Gulu Maharramli, international columnist Elkhan Shahinoglu, and "Khalq Gazeti" employee Aganisa Sultanova, met with Lebanese President Emil Lakhud Monday.
The meeting was also attended by Azerbaijan's ambassador to Egypt, Syria and Lebanon Israfil Vakilov. The parties focused on prospects of Azeri-Lebanese cooperation, as Azeri journalists informed the President of the situation in Azerbaijan.
President Lakhud said he was interested in expanding cooperation with Baku and invited the Azeri president to Lebanon.
