 | Group-4 securitas in Baku |
"Group-4 Securitas" was founded in Denmark in 1901 by Philip Sorensen. The company became one of the most professional security companies already in the early 20th century. Represented in over 50 world countries, "Group-4 Securitas" works in the area of security and transportation of cash and securities. It also provides "911" emergency call and other security services. The number "4" in its name actually signifies the count of areas the company is engaged in.
Overseas branches of "Group-4 Securitas" have achieved major successes. Security services are being provided to 4 correctional institutions in Britain, strategic sites of the Pentagon and airports across Europe.
The company launched its operations in Azerbaijan in 1998. Despite being new in the country, "Group-4" provides security services to the first oil consortium and a number of embassies in Baku. "Group-4" also deals with the transportation of cash and securities both for local and foreign companies active in Azerbaijan.
The "911" emergency call service provided by "Group-4" is still unrivalled in Azerbaijan, as highly professional specialists fluent in foreign languages and able to provide first aid work on a round-the-clock basis. "Group-4" holds a special place in providing private security services, protection in show business events and a wide range of other arrangements.
Azernews has asked the company's operations manager Rafiq Abbasov why "Group-4" is so special.
"Our employees are required to have a university degree, have served in the army and be physically fit. Applicants must be below 35, fluent in a foreign language. It is for this reason that we employ medallists of various European and World championships. We give preference to servicemen, policemen and the Garabagh war veterans. "Group-4" cherishes its unique traditions and our Baku office is no exception.By Ganira Aliyeva Azernews Contributor
