PRESIDENTS DISCUSS TURKIC SUMMIT PREPARATIONS
Presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey Heydar Aliyev and Ahmed Necdet Sezer discussed Issues surrounding the upcoming 7th Turkic Summit in a telephone talk on Friday. The Summit is scheduled for April 26-27 in Istanbul, President's press-service said Saturday.
The two also exchanged views on Key West peace talks over the Garabagh conflict.

GERMAN FOREIGN MINISTER DUE IN BAKU
A German government delegation led by Foreign Minister Fischer is expected to visit Baku May 20-21. The delegation will include businessmen and journalists.
The group is expected to focus on prospects of political, economic and cultural cooperation, according to a diplomatic source.
No bilateral documents are to be signed during the visit.
The delegation will then leave for Central Asian countries.

UPPER GARABAGH CONFERENCE DUE IN GERMANY
Organized by the Evangelistic Academy, the scientific conference, "Peace and stability in the Caucasus region: Upper Garabagh problem", is due in Hanover, Germany, May 2-4.
According to the head of the conflicts and migration section of the Institute of Peace and Democracy Arif Yunusov, the conference will be attended by 30 international experts dealing with the Upper Garabagh conflict, as well as former and current co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group.
Azerbaijan will be represented by A. Yunusov proper and a representative of the international organization for exchange of prisoners and hostages Avaz Hasanov.

TENDER ANNOUNCED WITHIN FARM PRIVATIZATION PROJECT
The Agency for Support to the Development of the Agricultural Private Sector invited sealed bids for the supply of Information and Office Equipment, as well as Office Furniture, as part of the Farm Privatization Project. Interested bidders are to pay a non-refundable fee of $150. The bids shall be valid for a period of 60 days and must be accompanied by a security bid in the amount of no less than 2% of the total bid price. The deadline has been set at June 18, 2001.
