Aliyev defines fuel ministry targets

Issues of improving the state administration system and structural reforms were in the focus of a meeting presided by President Aliyev on April 19.

Addressing the meeting, President Aliyev stressed the need for speeding up reforms and ordered to accomplish the task as soon as possible, President's press-service said Saturday.

President Aliyev also defined targets for the Ministry of Fuel and Energy set up a few days ago to execute the government's energy policy, prepare a strategy for developing the energy sector and coordinate the work of industrial enterprises.

The President instructed his chief-of-staff, prime minister and minister for fuel and energy to prepare the new ministry's regulations.

Besides prime minister Artur Rasizadeh and President's chief-of-staff Ramiz Mehdiyev, the meeting was attended by state advisor V. Akhundov, minister for fuel and energy M. Karimov, etc.
