DIPLOMATS TO UNDERGO ATTESTATION ONCE IN 3 YEARS
The Milli Mejlis approved the draft bill "On diplomatic service" in the second hearing Friday. Unlike the previous bill, the current draft law stipulates that employees of the foreign ministry are required to undergo attestation once in three years. Uninterrupted work in diplomatic missions cannot exceed three years, except heads of the mission. The tenure of ambassadors is to be defined by the President.
Only those possessing higher education and fluent in a foreign language are eligible for diplomatic service, the draft says.
