Another rally of opposition

6 opposition parties, PNIA, PFPA, Musavat, Civil Solidarity, ADP and ALP that took part in the November 5 parliamentary election through non-constituency system held a rally in front of the Galaba cinema Saturday. The rally was also attended by committees for the rights of running candidates and Mutallibov’s human rights, as well as the Geyrat party. 3,000 people showed up.
Speaking at the rally were the party leaders, who called for unity. Musavat chairman Isa Gambar called on all to refuse to participate in the re-election through 11 constituencies and on opposition members not to attend parliament sessions. ADP Secretary General Sardar Jalaloglu stated that thanks to such rallies it was quite possible to hold not only a new parliament election, but also a presidential one.
In her address, ALP chairperson Lala Shovkat Hajiyeva called for dissolving the parliament in a constitutional manner. The most widespread mottoes at the rally were “resignation” and “refusal”.
In conclusion, the resolution of the rally, demanding release of those arrested following the November 18 rally in the provinces, conduct of a new election and punishment for those who falsified the parliament election, was read.
