 | Handicapped to live better as budget revenues increase |
The Garabagh war handicapped enjoy all benefits possible, while their pensions and allowances will rise as budget revenues increase, chairman of the permanent parliamentary commission on social policy issues Hadi Rajabov told AssA-Irada Monday commenting on the hunger strike being held by the disabled since January 21.
According to him, on the instruction of the parliament speaker, the commission has studied the national legislation in the area of government’s care for the handicapped in the Garabagh war. He said the disabled have already been provided with tax benefits, the right to receive apartments skipping the line, free use of public transport, education and medicines, etc. Mr. Rajabli indicated that certain mistakes being committed in realization of the mentioned benefits don’t at all mean that the government is indifferent to the disabled. They have more benefits than any other category of the vulnerable.
He added that the parliament cannot raise anyone’s pensions and allowances, as the latter simply rise as budget revenues grow.*
