 | Over 200 international observers to monitor re-election |
The CEC chairman Mazahir Panahov received a group of PA CE observers led by Andreas Gross Saturday. The group has arrived in Azerbaijan to observe the re-election scheduled for January 7. No statement for press was made after a closed- door meeting.
The CEC secretary Gudrat Hasanguliyev said 170 of 200 international observers had already arrived. They will also include the head of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights Gerard Studman and former US ambassador to Azerbaijan Richard Kauzlarich.*
