Little White House talks fruitless

The Garabagh peace talks at the Little White House in Key West, Florida, completed Saturday. The negotiations were brokered by the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs from the US, Russia and France. The next round of talks is due in Geneva, Switzerland, in June.
Contrary to expectations of the co-chairs, judging by US media and political commentators, the talks have yielded no reassuring results. The conclusion is confirmed by the absence of Secretary of State Powell from the last stage of the negotiations. He reportedly announced on his way to Washington that he could rejoin the two presidents if necessary.
US President George Bush is expected to meet with Azeri and Armenian Presidents Monday, according to the White House press spokesman.
President Aliyev left for Washington Saturday.*
