Drilling on Talysh-Daniz to complete shortly

Drilling operations in the second exploratory well on the “Talysh-Daniz” prospect are expected to complete in late March and early April. TotalFinaElf told AssA-Irada Wednesday that three-fourth of the well has been already bored. The estimated depth of the well is 4400 meters. The operations are being conducted using the “Gurtulush” semi-submersible drilling rig.

The drilling of the first exploratory well on the prospect was suspended at the depth of 1,000 meters due to technical reasons. No further boring in this well is anticipated.*
