Transit regulations approved

The parliament has approved the regulations on transit passing through Azerbaijani territory by foreigners and nonresidents on Friday. The draft law was adopted in the second reading.

MP Baxtiyar Aliyev highly appreciated the adoption of such regulations, as the construction of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline, Silk Road and other projects, which play an important strategic role between the East and West, led to the increase of transit ???. He said the regulations would have positive impact on the tourism development as well, noting that the regulations would serve the protection of the rights of foreigners and those who lack citizenship.*
