Azeri sportsman preparing for cycle race

The renowned Azeri cyclist Aladdin Shabanov is expected to take part in a cycle race, dedicated to the victims of the Chernobyl tragedy.
The race will start in Red Square in Moscow on April 26. 15 participants of the competition will fly to New York on the next day to cover 15,870 km on a bicycle through 167 cities of the US and Canada for 210 days. Then, the race will be completed in Moscow.
A. Shabanov has been engaged in cycle-racing for about 40 years and is currently ranked among the ten best European cyclists.*
