The Baku Underground is seeking an investor to build a subway line to the northern part of the city, but all talks remain fruitless due to low tariffs of the tube.
To build an underground tunnel to northern part of Baku, in the direction of the 7th and 8th micro-districts and Darnagul and Binagadi settlements will cost $140 million. The project envisions construction of three stations in this direction and a railway depot. According to the chairman of the Underground Taghi Ahmadov, the group is currently looking for a foreign investor to implement the project.*
