Society for animals gets British Royal membership

The Azerbaijan Society for Protection of Animals (ASPA) has been admitted to the associate membership of the British Royal Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA), ASPA chairman Azer Garayev said Saturday.

According to him, the RSPCA, the UK’s the biggest non-governmental organization with over 300 members was set up in 1687. Patronizing the London-based society is the British royal family.

The ASPA was established in 1990, staging active performance for protection of wild animals and pets since then.*
