Cash-desks to be computerized

The EAN Azerbaijan, the company providing bar codes on locally manufactured goods, is working on a program of computerization of cash-desks in shops and supermarkets, the EAN general manager Vafa Aliyev told AssA-Irada Monday.
According to him, the company has addressed the Cabinet of Ministers in this regard and the latter is expected to permit tentative tests on cash desks shortly.
To date, computerized cash desks have been installed at Ramstore, Master Tibot and Continental shops, enabling to eliminate technical errors and prompt service.
After the program is approved by the Cabinet, all cash desks will be equipped with necessary facilities to be hooked to computer and scanner.*
