 | New mayor starts with cleaning |
The recently-appointed mayor of Baku Hajibala Abutalibov has started his work in the new capacity with attending to problems of the capital that have accumulated in years. On the instruction of the Mayor, cleaning operations have been undertaken in all Baku districts, parks and gardens are being ameliorated, benches and pavements renewed, hand-made outdoor tea houses and cafeterias removed.
The Mayor has also banned meat sale in the streets and had the street-vendors outside the railway station, which is believed to be a source of infectious diseases, removed. Cleaning operations are also in full swing in the national park - Seaside Boulevard. Next in turn is the city public transport network leading to traffic jams in Baku streets.*
