 | New Press Club opens in Baku |
A new press club, “Ideal”, was opened at “28 May” street of Baku Monday.
According to its director Nazim Guliyev, the journalistic center has not been set up to compete with other entities of its kind, but to contribute to freedom of speech and thought. He said first clients would be provided with space free of charge. In the future, the club intends to establish and award prizes on such nominations as “Best newspaper”, “Best newspaper journalist” and “Best TV journalist”, Mr. Guliyev added.
Mr. Guliyev is also founder of the “Ideal” newspaper.*
