 | Agdam: 8 years under enemy occupation |
The occupation of Agdam, one of Azerbaijan’s most beautiful places, turned 8 years Monday. Before being seized, Agdam covered the territory of 1,154 square kilometers and had the population of 158,000 people.
Currently, 122 villages and settlements, 1,317 industrial and construction enterprises, 160 schools, 65 medical and 373 cultural institutions, a theater, two museums, and three mosques are under Armenian occupation.
6,000 people were killed when fighting for Agdam, 16 of them National Heroes.
Refugees from Agdam are settled in 10 Azeri-administered villages of the province, as well as Baku and Barda.*
